SPATULA HINOKI
The spatulahinoki (cypress in Japanese) is used to mix lacquer, flour and powdertonoko Orjinoko during the manufacture ofbellowedurushi,ofnori urushi andsabi.
L'hinoki being soft and malleable, this spatula is recommended for these mixtures.
BAMBOO SPATULA
This bamboo spatula is used to apply thebellowedurushi where thesabi urushi on the repaired part of the object.
The tip of the spatula is rounded so that theurushi can be applied to cross sections of cracks and chips.
Note that with time and wear, a patina will form and will guarantee longer conservation.
