This lacquer is more refined than the base lacquerkiurushi. It contains approximately 75% more urushiol than a regular hairspray and its water content is approximately 15%. Its intense color is due to the high concentration of iron oxide.

Wordbengara refers to a red pigment composed primarily of iron oxide. Its name comes from the Japanese word for the Bengal region of India where the pigment imported to Japan.
